2014 Alfa Romeo Giulietta facelift revealed

Historic Italian brand Alfa Romeo will be at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show to introduce its slightly revised 2014 Giulietta. The most substantial news is the arrival of a new engine, a 2.0 JTDM engine - credited with an output of 150 horsepower and 380 Nm of peak torque at 1750 rpm - and equipped with the third-generation Common Rail injection system and the second-generation MultiJet injection system, that optimises engine combustion and ensures reduction in fuel consumption and noise at the same time.

The 2014 Giulietta also comes with a number of cosmetic enhancements such as the redesigned front grille, fog lights with chrome-plated frame, LED technology at both ends and three brand new sets of alloy wheels measuring 16, 17 and 18 inches. Alfa Romeo also added three new exterior paint schemes (Bronze, Anodizzato Blue and Moonlight Pearl).

As for the interior, there is the addition of an Uconnect infotainment system with a 5- or 6.5-inch touchscreen display (with satellite navigation system, voice commands and Bluetooth interface), a new door panel and handle, new specific sports seats upholstered in black leather/Alcantara with contrasting stitching, plus more upgrades that are different for the various trim levels. Since its launch in mid-2010, more than 212,000 Giuliettas have been ordered worldwide, so Alfa Romeo expects this new incarnation to carry on that way when it will enter the dealerships in October/November.
