2014 Honda Civic Tourer

Japanese manufacturer Honda has released the first official pictures, video (after the jump) and details of the 2014 Civic Tourer ahead of its debut at 2013 the Frankfurt Motor Show. The model will be powered by either the 1.6-lter i-DTEC diesel engine from the Earth Dreams Technology series or the 1.8 i-VTEC engine, in manual or automatic transmission, while a brand new Adaptive Damper System (ADS) will help to enhance stability and comfort under varying load and driving conditions.

Measuring 4.52 meters in length, the 2014 Civic Tourer offers a lot of trunk space: 624 liters the rear bench up, 1667 liters with the rear seats down. The model also benefits from the same unique centre fuel tank layout used in the Civic 5-door: the fuel tank is located under the front seats allowing the Civic Tourer to offer unparalleled interior.

The model doesn’t seem too different from the Civic Tourer concept we saw at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show back in March, but since Honda didn’t release that much information about the model in the press release issued along with these first pictures, we will have to wait until the day of its unveiling in Germany to find out all the details. The Civic Tourer will be built at Honda’s UK manufacturing facility and will be launched in Europe from early 2014.
